As a Pellet Mill Operator, you will run pellet mill equipment, monitor conditions, ensure safety and quality, keep records, and work with teammates to maintain production efficiency in a clean, organized facility.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous manufacturing or pellet mill experience is asset.
• Knowledge of agriculture, livestock production, or the feed industry is asset.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Comfortable using computerized production and automation systems.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective team player with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor pellet mill equipment to produce high-quality pelleted livestock feed.
• Set up, adjust, and monitor pellet mill equipment to maintain production efficiency and product quality.
• Monitor steam, temperature, moisture, and die performance to ensure optimal pellet quality.
• Inspect equipment and identify mechanical issues or abnormalities requiring attention.
• Receive and handle raw ingredients as required.
• Operate computerized automation systems used in feed production and ingredient receiving.
• Work collaboratively with other operators to maintain production efficiencies.
• Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
• Follow all company safety, quality assurance, HACCP, and food safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
