Pediatric Interventional Radiologist

BC Children’s Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Interventional Radiologist to join the Department of Radiology.
Located in Vancouver, BC Children’s Hospital is a 220-bed tertiary and quaternary care hospital serving all children and families across British Columbia.
The successful applicant will join a team of 16 Pediatric and Interventional Radiologists providing imaging services to BC Children’s Hospital and consulting services province-wide. The Radiology Department is situated in the Teck Acute Care Centre, equipped with state-of-the-art MRI, CT, US, Nuclear Medicine, fluoroscopy, radiography, and angiography/IR systems.
The Pediatric Interventional Radiology service, staffed by 2 part-time radiologists, offers procedures including diagnostic angiography, vascular interventions, neuro-interventions, hepatobiliary and renal transplant interventions, vascular malformation therapy, long-term vascular access, GI tract access and dilation, joint injections, biopsies, pain management, and oncologic interventions.
This role emphasizes teaching and research. The department, affiliated with the University of British Columbia, offers training in Diagnostic, Pediatric, and Interventional Radiology. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills and an interest in academic radiology. Academic time is allocated for research and educational activities.
Applicants must be eligible for medical licensure in British Columbia, possess or be eligible for RCPSC certification in Diagnostic Radiology, and have completed recognized fellowships in Pediatric and Interventional Radiology, or a recognized Pediatric Interventional Radiology fellowship.
The successful candidate will be recommended for a clinical faculty appointment at UBC, with academic rank determined by qualifications.
