BC Children’s Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Interventional Radiologist to join the Department of Radiology. This is a regular full-time position (0.6 FTE) based in Vancouver, BC.
The hospital is a 220-bed tertiary and quaternary care facility serving children and families across British Columbia. The department boasts state-of-the-art imaging equipment, including 3T and 1.5T MRI, CT, US, Nuclear Medicine, fluoroscopy, radiography, and angiography/IR systems.
The Pediatric Interventional Radiology service, staffed by two part-time radiologists, offers a comprehensive range of procedures such as diagnostic angiography, vascular and neuro-interventions, hepatobiliary and renal transplant interventions, vascular malformation therapy, long-term vascular access, GI tract access and dilation, joint injections, biopsies, pain management, and oncologic interventions.
This role emphasizes teaching and research, with affiliations to the University of British Columbia. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills and an interest in advancing academic radiology. Academic time is allocated for research and educational pursuits.
Applicants must be eligible for medical licensure in British Columbia, hold or be eligible for RCPSC certification in Diagnostic Radiology, and have completed recognized fellowships in Pediatric Radiology and Interventional Radiology, or equivalent.
The successful candidate will be recommended for a clinical faculty appointment at UBC, with academic rank based on qualifications.
