British Columbia Children’s Hospital (BCCH) is seeking an accomplished pediatric radiologist to advance the research, academic, and clinical pillars of the Department of Radiology.
The Department of Radiology at BC Children’s Hospital includes a team of 18 pediatric radiologists, pediatric interventional radiologists, and nuclear medicine physicians. The department is located within the Teck Acute Care Centre, opened in October 2017. It is equipped with state-of-the-art 3T and 1.5 T MRI, CT, US, Nuclear Medicine, fluoroscopy, radiography, and angiography/IR systems. The department is affiliated with the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiology, offering medical school, residency, and RCPSC-accredited fellowship training in pediatric radiology and pediatric interventional radiology.
As Department Head, you will ensure the clinical, educational, and research goals of the department align with BCCH and PHSA’s vision and the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Medicine.
Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer and working in a co-leadership model with the Medical Imaging Operations Director, you will oversee the management of clinical programs, drive planning and service delivery based on departmental and provincial needs, and collaborate with hospital and health authority leaders to improve patient outcomes and experiences. You will be responsible for quality, safety, and staff development within the department.
