Job summary

ParaMed Inc. in Thornhill, Ontario, is seeking a Pediatric Shift Nurse to provide focused in-home pediatric care on full-time shifts with travel across Thornhill and surrounding areas.

In this nursing role, as a Pediatric Shift Nurse you will have scheduled shifts to care for patients. You will work with patients within pediatric ages with differing complexity of care needs and play a key role in helping patients remain comfortable. This is a Full time position requiring travel anywhere within Thornhill and surrounding area.

What you’ll do:
  • Using appropriate assessment tools/techniques to assess patients’ individualized needs
  • Executing and continuously monitor care plans
  • Engaging patients using a collaborative approach by building rapport and trust
  • Maintaining and update professional patient records related to patient encounters and plans
What you bring:
  • Registration with the CNO as a Nurse in good standing
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required
  • Experience in Pediatric care is mandatory
  • Experience in delivering community care is an assetClinical skills in gastric feed, tracheostomy, and ventilation care is required
  • Reliability and flexibility
  • Willingness to travel to and from patient residences within a designated area
