Job summary

CHEO in Ottawa, a leading stand-alone pediatric hospital, is seeking a registered nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients and families in the pediatric unit.

Applicants must be a registered nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario, hold a current CPR certification, and demonstrate culturally sensitive and family‑centered care. Bilingual English/French is preferred. OPSEU interview eligibility applies to qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Experience with paediatric population and standard nursing practices.
• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario is required.
• CPR certification is essential and expected for patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients and families.
• Adhere to standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario and hospital.
• Provide learning experiences to promote wellness and quality of life.
• Demonstrate independence as well as collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
