Job summary

VHA Home HealthCare (VHA) is a leading not-for-profit home care provider in Ontario, delivering client-centred pediatric occupational therapy in homes and schools. Therapists assess, consult, and implement interventions to promote independence, working with the client care team to align plans and schedules for optimal outcomes.

The role requires OT degree, active licensing in Ontario, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently and virtually when needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized school.
• In good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
• Valid Driver’s License with access to a vehicle.
• Compassionate and empathetic.
• Self-driven with ability to work independently.
• Skilled in caseload management.
• Skilled at electronic documentation.
• Able to provide virtual care.
• A registered ADP authorizer (asset).

Responsibilities

• Assess and implement occupational therapy interventions per professional guidelines and company standards.
• Provide client interventions based on assessment information and integrated care plan.
• Ensure services are best practice, evidence-based, and evaluated with outcomes.
• Coordinate care through ongoing communication with client’s care team.
• Document all assessment findings, treatment plans, progress, and discharge summaries.
• Support safe client care through continuous quality improvement principles.
