Job summary

OSNS Child & Youth Development Centre in Penticton, BC seeks an Occupational Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team. You will conduct screenings, assessments, and interventions, provide parent coaching, and deliver family-centered care on-site, with school and community visits.

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Occupational Therapy, CHCPBC registration or eligibility, and RASP eligibility; a valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Pediatric experience preferred, with strong team support available for training and development.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with clients, caregivers, and community partners to support outcomes.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities in a fast-paced, play-based setting.
• Ability to coordinate or co-lead educational groups with children, youth, and caregivers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; clinical judgment and competence.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team with clinical and nonclinical members.
• Provide staff support and training as required.
• Screening, assessments, and intervention.
• Parent coaching and consultation.
• Family-centered, culturally safe and responsive care.
• On-site, school visits, community outreach, and home visits as essential parts of the role.
• Maintain positive relationships internally and in the community.
