Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Physiotherapy.
  • Registration with CHCPBC or eligibility.
  • Registration with RASP or eligibility.
  • Experience in pediatric rehabilitation is an asset; training available.
  • Criminal record check valid and current.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Conduct comprehensive physical assessments for children under 6.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and adjust per progress.
  • Deliver parent coaching using a family-centered approach.
  • Provide culturally safe, inclusive care.
  • Participate in on-site work, school visits, community outreach, and home-based services.
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships within the organization and with the community.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Job description

Responsible to: Early Intervention Supervisor & Autism Intervention Supervisor

Status: Casual

Hours of Work: Varies as needed - Monday to Friday

Location: Penticton, BC with some travel to outlying communities

Classification: Wage Schedule J - HSA

Compensation & Benefits: $45.15 - $56.17 hourly, plus 13% in lieu of Vacation and Holiday Pay as well as:

intervention and support services to children and youth with a variety of developmental supported

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
  • Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Conduct comprehensive physical assessments of children under the age of 6 with physical, cognitive, social/emotional and/or sensory concerns.
  • Develop individualized treatments plans, modifying plans according to patient progress and clinical findings
  • Deliver parent coaching and consultation using a family-centered approach
  • Provide culturally safe, inclusive, and sensitive care
  • Participate in a variety of service settings, including on-site work, school visits, community outreach, and home-based services
  • Foster and maintain strong collaborative relationships within the organization and the broader community
  • Perform other related duties as required
SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Ability to build and sustain effective, collaborative, and therapeutic relationships with clients, families, and community partners
  • Strong time management skills in a fast-paced, play-based clinical environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Demonstrated clinical judgment, professionalism, and competenceExperience with pediatric physical assessment and evaluation is an asset
  • Ability to coordinate, lead or co-lead educational groups with children, youth and caregivers
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC)
  • Registered or eligible for Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP)
  • Experience in pediatric rehabilitation is considered an asset; however, a strong, supportive team is available to support training and development
  • Acceptable Criminal Record Check
  • Valid BC Driver's License
