Employment Type: Full-Time, 35 Hours per week

The Opportunity
  • Assess the child’s functional status through clinical observation in appropriate settings (home, daycare, etc.), administration of formal OT assessment, and consultation with family/caregivers.
  • Develop appropriate caseload management strategies including prioritization, goal-directed programming/intervention, waitlist management, and program evaluation.
  • Maintain professional development through attendance of in-services, workshops, courses, and conferences as appropriate.
  • Provide recommendations to the family/caregivers to facilitate development of the child’s functional skills and promote independence; recommendations include programming suggestions, therapeutic activities, specialized equipment, environmental modifications, and/or referral to other agencies/professionals.
What You Will Bring To The Role
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy or Rehabilitation Medicine.
  • Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC).
  • Previous experience in primary care or with marginalized populations is an asset.
Benefits

Wage Range: $48.09 - $62.28 per hour. Wage placement is dependent on role-specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience, market conditions, and internal equity.
