Job summary

Interior Health is hiring a permanent part-time Occupational Therapist (0.6 FTE) for the Primary Care Network in Salmon Arm. The role includes comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, and client education. Eligible positions may receive up to $12,000 recruitment incentive and relocation assistance.

Four weeks of vacation after one year, and employer-paid benefits are offered. Responsibilities include team collaboration, program planning, and mentorship for new graduates and internationally

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
• Full practicing license with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC) and eligible for CAOT membership.
• Valid BC Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapy programs to promote functional independence.
• Provide consultation, education, and support to clients and their caregivers.
• Prescribe and recommend equipment to assist daily living.
• Participate in program planning, quality assurance initiatives, research, and departmental meetings.
• Offer guidance and work direction to rehabilitation assistants regarding transfer of function.

Education

Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program

Full practicing license with CHCPBC

Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists
