Job summary

Hirebridge is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to support children with diverse needs at BrightPath centres across Calgary. You will promote independence, development, and participation in daily activities through evidence-based interventions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Registered member in good standing with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
• Specialization or experience in pediatric occupational therapy preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with children, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Valid Alberta driver’s license and access to a vehicle to travel to BrightPath centres across Calgary.
• Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
• School year contract position. Must have their own insurance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain license and certification requirements, adhering to ethical standards and guidelines set forth by professional organizations such as ACOT.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to create supportive and effective environments for the child.
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of intervention plans, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, intervention plans, and progress notes.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all policies and procedures of the organization.
• Contribute to program development and clinical quality initiatives for the organization.
