Job summary

Vanier Children's Mental Wellness in Ontario is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic interdisciplinary team. You will conduct assessments, provide consultations, and develop individualized treatment plans to support children and youth in daily activities.

The position requires a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy, active OT registration in Ontario, and 2–3 years of pediatric experience. Travel not required; a valid driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master of Science, Occupational Therapy.
• Active member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an Occupational Therapy role.
• Experience with children, youth and families is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with stakeholders (individually, in teams, and agency-wide).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and case management software (EMHWare) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized assessment and intervention as well as program planning/implementation, consultation, and education as part of an interdisciplinary team and with families.
• Consult with health care professionals involved to define the action plan for individuals.
• Assess individuals and develop treatment care plans on an ongoing basis.
• Ensure individuals are involved in identified therapeutic programs meeting goals.
• Provide ongoing analysis of progress toward identified goals.
• Document pertinent information related to Occupational Therapy services.
• Ensure OT practice aligns with ethics and provincial regulations.
