Job summary

Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a dedicated and customer service‑oriented individual to join the PBX Telephone Operations team as a Full-Time Operator. Responsibilities include answering calls, handling guest questions, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring wake‑up calls are delivered accurately, with shifts including evenings, graveyard, weekends and holidays.

Starting wage is $25.83 per hour, after 6 months $30.14, after one year $34.44, reflecting our commitment to growth

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or switchboard experience is preferred.
• Ability to work well independently and within a team.
• Ability to work in a busy, fast paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft office applications.
• Fluency in English and good verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of a second language is an asset.
• Must be able to workflexible shifts including Evening and Graveyard shifts, Weekends, and Holidays (Friday, Saturday and Sunday availability required)

Responsibilities

• Answering incoming calls and transferring to extensions.
• Handling guest questions and complaints with focus on guest satisfaction.
• Preparing, sorting, and handling internal communications for guests and colleagues.
• Recording and delivering wake up calls with 100% accuracy.
• Receiving, tracking and following up on guest requests and dispatching requests to appropriate departments.
• Handling emergencies and dispatching emergency personnel.

Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a dedicated and customer service-orientedindividual to join thePBX Telephone Operations team as a Full-Time Operator.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Answering incoming internal and external calls according to Hyatt standards and transferring them to the appropriate extensions
• Handling basic guest questions and complaints with a focus on guest satisfaction and problem resolution
• Preparing, sorting, and handling internal written and verbal communication for both guests and fellow colleagues
• Recording and delivering wake up calls with 100% accuracy
• Receiving, tracking and following up on all guest requests and dispatching requests to the appropriate departments
• Handling emergency situations and dispatching emergency personnel

Candidate must be available to work flexible shifts including Graveyard, Weekends and Holidays . Starting wage for this position is $25.83 per hour, after 6 months wage is $30.14 per hour, after 1 year wage is $34.44 per hour.
