Hyatt Vancouver Downtown Alberni is seeking a dedicated, passionate, and customer service-oriented full-time Concierge to join our team on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, arranging bookings/reservations, handling deliveries, and coordinating access for residents. The role requires a strong service mindset, problem-solving, and the ability to work AM/PM shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2 years of concierge experience preferred.
• Les Clefs d’Or membership is an asset.
• Previous experience in luxury or upscale hotel brands is an asset.
• Outstanding customer service with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service promptly and professionally.
• Be the main point of contact in the lobby for guests and residents.
• Greet guests at the Concierge desk and assist with bookings and reservations.
• Accept deliveries and log packages as required.
• Coordinate elevator access for residential needs and arrivals.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide exceptional service by acting promptly, graciously and professionally, with genuine care and attention to detail
• Exceed service expectations proactively, promptly, professionally, with genuine care to attention and detail
• Be the main point of contact in our lobby for our hotel guests and residents
• Greet guests and residents at the Hotel Concierge desk
• Assists with and arranges bookings/tickets and reservations, upon request
• Accepts deliveries of packages and goods on behalf of hotel guests and residents, logging as required.
• Book service elevator access for residential needs including:moves in/out, contractors, deliveries etc.
• Maintains expertise and up to date knowledge on contacts with local venues, entertainment, restaurants, attractions, theatre, directions, transportation, sports and other engagements as needed
• Assist with the organization of on-site events and special requests for our guests and residents
• Refer guests and residents to hotel amenities, fitness facility, Orrin Spa, Carlino Restaurant, Front Desk, parking etc.
• Focus attention on guest and resident needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Ability to solve problems and handle complaints and requests, as required
• Maintains positive internal and external relationships with our guests, residents, vendors and suppliers.
• Possess a high level of creativity and the ability to “think outside the box”
• Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
• Communicate any guest or resident related information to other departments and conduct follow up, as required
• Undertakes other ad hoc related responsibilities, as required

Hourly wage is at $32.66

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a concierge is preferred
• Member of Les Clefs d’Or is an asset
• Previous experience in a similar capacity within another luxury or upscale hotel brand is an asset
• Previous customer related experience required
• Outstanding customer service, with superior verbal & written communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Open Table, ALICE software is preferred
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team and independently at times
• Flexible availability - this role will work AM/PM shifts including weekends and holidays (as required).

Visa Requirements:Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
