Hyatt Vancouver Downtown Alberni is seeking a dedicated, guest-focused Housekeeping Coordinator to join the Housekeeping team. The role emphasizes detail-oriented management of schedules, cleanliness standards, and exceptional guest experiences in a luxury setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor weekly and daily staff schedules.

• Inspect rooms, public areas, back of house to meet Five Star Forbes and Five Diamond standards.
• Assist with office duties: task assignments, Lost and found, storage, guest retrieval, disposal.
• Monitor inventory of guest, operating, linen, and cleaning supplies.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Facilitate inter-departmental communication to support guests.
• Handle special requests for VIPs and special needs rooms.
• Perform other adhoc duties and new learning assignments.

Hyatt Vancouver Downtown Alberni is undergoing a multi-million-dollar redesign to elevate our guestrooms, residential-style lobby, public spaces, and spa, and will transition to the Park Hyatt brand in 2027.

We are seeking dedicated guest service oriented full-time Housekeeping Coordinator to join the Housekeeping department.

This candidate must be detail-oriented and meticulous in upholding Hyatt cleanliness standards, while demonstrating strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills and a genuine commitment to delivering a refined, luxury-level guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor weekly and daily schedules to ensure correct staffing levels.
• Monitor the HOTSOS system to ensure requests are completed in a timely manner.
• Rooms, public area, back of house inspection with focus on Hyatt cleanliness, Five Star Forbes and Five Diamond AAA service standards.
• Assist with office duties such as morning and evening task assignment, Lost and found tracking, storage, guest retrieval, release and disposal.
• Monitoring guest, operating, linen and cleaning supply levels with bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly inventories.
• Maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents.
• Facilitate inter-departmental communication to effectively provide guest support.
• Monitor and act on special requests as needed, VIPs, special needs rooms, etc.
• Performs other adhoc duties and responsibilities as required.
• Assisting with administering new policies and any new learning assignment/completion

Salary Range: 63,000 - 67,000 annual

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates a genuine passion for delivering thoughtful, personalized service in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.
• Must be available to work a variety of shifts and flexible hours based on business needs.
• Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, colleagues, and leaders.
• Demonstrates strong guest service skills and a commitment to creating refined, seamless, and memorable guest experiences.
• Maintains a polished, professional, fair, and composed presence at all times.
• Comfortable communicating with a diverse group of individuals and adapting communication style as appropriate.
• Possesses excellent organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and service standards.
• Previous experience with HotSOS and/or REX is preferred.
• Previous experience in a luxury hotel or upscale hospitality environment is preferred.
• Working knowledge of a unionized workforce is an asset.
