Job summary

Maersk in Richmond, Canada seeks an experienced Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate, timely bi-weekly payroll processing while complying with company policies and applicable laws. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict payroll deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Preferred PCP designation or working towards certification.
  • Experience supporting unionized workforces or interpreting collective bargaining agreements.
  • Experience with payroll reconciliations and year-end processing.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our payroll team. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable legislation. The successful candidate will have strong payroll processing experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Process end-to-end bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time.

Pay Range: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00* *The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
