Our services include governance, solution selection, implementation, and specialized staffing in project deployment. We take a collaborative, agnostic, and results-driven approach to every engagement. Proudly based in Montreal, INNOOVA operates across Canada.

As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our clients to ensure the compliance, reliability, and efficiency of their payroll operations. You will work in a variety of contexts to address complex issues, optimize existing processes, and support the implementation or improvement of payroll systems. You will also contribute to the production of thorough analyses and the application of payroll best practices.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement

  • Advise clients on complex cases (retroactive payments, leaves, allowances, etc.).
  • Provide user support and contribute to training to help strengthen their autonomy.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients, acting as a key resource for payroll-related matters.

Payroll Services and Projects

  • Oversee payroll processing in multi-site or multi-jurisdictional environments.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial tax and legal requirements.
  • Participate in the implementation, optimization, and automation of payroll solutions.
  • Prepare and validate regulatory reports (T4s, RL-1s, etc.) and ensure data accuracy.
  • Conduct process analyses and recommend sustainable improvements.

Internal Development

  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and the creation of internal tools or guides related to payroll best practices.
  • Participate in strategic monitoring of payroll systems, legal requirements, and industry trends.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in payroll processing or payroll consulting.
  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation (CPP, EI, income tax, employment standards, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulations in diverse contexts.
  • Proficiency with payroll systems (Ceridian, ADP, Employeur D, etc.) and collaborative tools.
  • PCP or CPM certification (a strong asset).
  • Degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) required.

Why Join INNOOVA?

  • Opportunity to lead and contribute to challenging and impactful projects.
  • Mentorship and professional development opportunities to advance your career.
  • Collaborative and supportive work environment with a focus on innovation.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package.
  • Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding company and make a significant impact.
