****This is an on-site position, you will be working at the Edmonton, AB branch***

What you will do

This position is responsible for managing Silent-Aire’s hourly payroll with all requisite deductions and maintaining appropriate financial documentation through an organized system of filing.

How you will do it

  • Complete the full scope of preparation and administration of payroll for all hourly company employees, while auditing payroll processing reports for accuracy.

  • Ensures CRA transactions are completed and on time.

  • Ensure that all hourly wages are paid accurately and in a timely fashion to all company employees, contractors, and other parties.

  • Follows up with Corporate payroll on records of employment and remittances.

  • Issue ad hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

  • Take and handle all inquiries arising from questions about payroll.

  • Implement hourly increases, promotions, and so on in accordance with instructions given.

  • Maintain detailed records and documentation of payroll functions for audit purposes, in accordance with statutory requirements.

  • Administers leave processing.

What we look for

Required

  • 1 or more years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.

  • Must have recent experience in the manufacturing and/or construction industry.

  • Knowledge of accepted payroll rules, practices, tax laws, and reporting requirements.

  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization

  • Computer literate, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel and e-mail

  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.

  • Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.

  • Good organizational, time management and prioritization skills.

  • Attention to detail in all areas of work.

  • Experience working with Kronos and/or UKG an asset.
