- Process biweekly and monthly payroll for MMF students and clients;
- Verify and input timesheet data;
- Assist with biweekly payroll processing for MMF employees;
- Assist with the preparation of T4s;
- Conduct manual checks to identify and resolve duplicate accounts within the payroll system, ensuring data integrity;
- Scan and file payroll documents;
- Modify employee records and collect employee payroll data;
- Set up new hires in the payroll system by adding their banking info, tax forms, etc.;
- Run reports after each pay period to track employee sick leave accruals, vacation accruals, and banked overtime balances.
Skills and Qualifications:- Degree or diploma in Payroll, Accounting, Finance, or related field;
- Desire to obtain Payroll Compliance Practitioner designation is an asset;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint;
- Experience with Sage 300 and/or ADP Workforce Now is an asset;
- High attention to detail;
- Ability to adapt to change in priorities and work well under pressure;
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills;
- Knowledge of Red River Métis culture, and MMF programs and services is a definite asset; and,
- Ability to travel, valid Manitoba Driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle.
