Job summary

Sunrise Farms in Manitoba is seeking a Payroll Assistant to support payroll for about 400 employees. You will post entries, audit and reconcile payroll reports, and assist with benefits and records in Dayforce and AS400.

You will work with management, plant staff and office teams; responsibilities include bi-weekly payroll, attendance adjustments, onboarding new staff, ROE, vacation and other payroll tasks. The role requires attention to detail and solid Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation; accounting/payroll courses are assets.
• 2-3 years of payroll experience, preferably in a unionized setting.
• Proficiency with Excel and payroll software; Dayforce and AS400 are assets.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Run payroll bi-weekly for plant or salaried employees.
• Post entries, audit and reconcile payroll reports.
• Support benefits processing and employee record updates in Dayforce and AS400.
• Onboard new employees and manage ROE requests and related forms.
• Monitor attendance, adjust time records and prepare payroll reports.
