Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) is a multi-site organization serving our communities with outstanding healthcare. We seek a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to manage payroll processing, ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain accurate payroll records.

Responsibilities
  • Manage payroll system configurations to ensure compliance with union contracts, hospital policies, and regulations.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring timely payments.
  • Review payroll reports to validate accuracy.
  • Conduct audits of new hires, transfers, and terminations.
  • Investigate and process payroll adjustments.
  • Support extraction of payroll records for stakeholders.
  • Process payroll remittances and ensure accurate deductions.
  • Prepare and amend Record of Employment (ROE).
  • Guide time and attendance users for accurate timecard capture.
  • Administer pay rate increases and adjustments.
  • Collaborate with HR on system updates and policy changes.
  • Manage pension contributions and reporting.
  • Prepare and reconcile T4 data for CRA.
  • Address payroll inquiries.
  • Support the implementation of the People Center & Pay module within UKG.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary diploma in accounting or finance from an accredited college.
  • Canadian Payroll Association certification or enrolment is an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years’ recent experience in payroll and accounting for large employers (>75 employees).
