Job summary

This on-site Finance role is a temporary Accountant and Payroll Specialist position in Midtown Toronto. You will support payroll operations, reconciliations, and financial reporting while upholding confidentiality and compliance with legislation.

The ideal candidate has PCP designation, 5+ years of payroll experience, and proficiency with payroll software and Excel. You will collaborate with the finance team on month-end close and data integrity for HR and accounting records.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Payroll Administration or related field.
• PCP designation required.
• 5+ years of payroll administration and financial operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and in compliance with applicable legislation and company policies.
• Administer employee benefits, pension contributions, and payroll-related documentation.
• Prepare ROEs, year-end tax slips, and other payroll compliance requirements.
• Respond to payroll and benefits inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Enter and maintain financial data within accounting and payroll systems.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Perform account reconciliations and support monthly financial processes.
• Generate routine financial reports and assist with data analysis as required.
• Support expense reporting and documentation processes.
• Maintain organized financial records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Provide administrative support to the finance team and assist with special projects as needed.
