Job summary

State Street in Toronto is seeking a Payment Services Coordinator to process payments manually and electronically as part of Global Services. You will monitor queues in MTS, BESS, Rightfax, and IBS MT to ensure accurate settlement by agent bank deadlines.

The role reports to the Officer, Payment Services and requires understanding of cash payments, SWIFT formats, and payment systems. A business studies degree or equivalent experience is preferred, with at least 1 year in the field.

Qualifications

• Degree in business studies preferred; diploma or relevant experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and process activity in MTS, BESS, Rightfax, Holding File and IBS MT queues by deadlines.
• Clear assigned queues to meet deadlines.
• Adhere to corporate risk policy and SOPs.
• Suggest workflow/process improvements for SSBT and clients.
• Identify potential trends of corrections promptly.
• Minimize errors to reduce financial loss and propose improvements.
• Interact with clients, peers and management in staff meetings.
• Report suspicious transactions to Team Leaders or Senior Officers.
• Support department functioning and workflow transitions across locations.
• Perform other duties as required by Management.
