Job summary

State Street Corporation is seeking a Payments Services Coordinator in Toronto to manage manual and electronic payments, ensuring timely settlement in line with risk policies. You will monitor multiple queues, meet deadlines, and continually improve workflows to serve clients effectively.

The role requires knowledge of cash payments, SWIFT formats, and payment systems, with a minimum of 1 year in a related field.

Qualifications

• Degree preferred in business studies; diploma or relevant experience considered
• Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in payments or treasury operations
• Knowledge of cash payment processes and risk policies

Responsibilities

• Monitor and process activity in MTS, BESS, Rightfax, Holding File and IBS MT queues.
• Clear assigned queues to meet deadlines.
• Adhere to corporate risk policy and standard operating procedures.
• Suggest workflow and process improvements for State Street and clients.
• Identify potential corrections trends and escalate timely.
• Minimize errors and reduce SSBT’s exposure to financial loss.
• Interact with clients, peers and management; participate in staff meetings.
• Report suspicious transactions to Team Leaders or Senior Officers.
• Support department functioning and workflow transitions across locations.
• Perform other duties as specified by management.
