Job summary

Metrolinx is seeking a Manager, Payments Data Governance to lead governance strategies across Payments, ensuring data quality, privacy and compliance. You will collaborate with vendors, transit agencies and enterprise teams to embed governance in processes and contracts.

You will drive AI governance, work with IT on architecture standards and report metrics to strengthen data governance maturity while enabling secure, compliant data use across the organization.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data governance, information management or analytics.
• Familiarity with DAMA-DMBOK, privacy laws and data policies.
• Experience defining objectives, KPIs and governance outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of data governance strategies within Payments.
• Provide strategic advice on data governance and responsible AI to Payments leaders.
• Oversee data quality, metadata, data classification and governance artifacts.
• Ensure secure sharing of Payments data with partners and vendors.
• Review contracts and procurements to identify governance risks and mitigations.
• Promote AI governance aligned with policy standards.
• Collaborate with IT on data architecture and governance standards.
• Measure effectiveness with KPIs, audits and risk mitigations.
