Job summary

Metrolinx is seeking a Manager, Payments Data Governance to lead data governance across Payments and align with Enterprise Data Governance. You will work with stakeholders, vendors and partners to embed governance, data rights and responsible AI practices in business processes.

You will oversee data quality, metadata, classifications, data dictionaries and governance artifacts while promoting secure data sharing and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Degree in business administration, information management, data science, engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in data governance, information management, analytics, or related field.
• Knowledge of data governance principles (DAMA-DMBOK) and data privacy/regulatory directives.
• Experience defining objectives, KPIs and governance outcomes.
• Knowledge of responsible AI and AI governance practices.
• Experience with data governance tools (Purview, Collibra) and analytics tools (Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of data governance strategies and roadmaps within Payments.
• Provide strategic advice on data governance, data management and responsible AI to leaders.
• Oversee data governance practices: quality, metadata, classification, access, dictionaries, registries.
• Facilitate secure sharing of Payments data with partners and vendors; address data rights.
• Embed governance in processes and procurements; assess risks and mitigate.
• Support AI governance to align with enterprise policies and standards.
• Collaborate with IT/Data teams on architecture standards for governance.
• Monitor compliance, KPIs, audits, and risk mitigation across Payments.
• Engage with Enterprise Data Governance to align programs.
• Coordinate with Records, Cyber Security, IT, Legal, Privacy, and Architecture teams to support data use.
