The University of British Columbia’s Chan Centre for the Performing Arts seeks a Patron Services Attendant. This part‑time, on‑call position supports three venues with welcoming patrons, ticketing, ushering, and bar service to deliver a premium guest experience.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety, handling guest inquiries, maintaining lobby presentation, and assisting with pre‑show and intermission operations. The role requires flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, or evenings.

Qualifications

• High school graduation.
• Minimum two years’ experience in the performing arts or a related field.
• Willingness to respect diverse perspectives, including perspectives in conflict with one’s own

Responsibilities

• Provide premium level customer service to patrons before, during, and after events.
• Welcome patrons and ensure safety before, during, and after events; address accessibility needs.
• Assist with ushering, ticket-taking, coat check, bar service, and concessions during events.
• Maintain venue appearance and collaborate with team members to resolve patron inquiries and concerns.
• Follow emergency procedures and evacuation plans; ensure compliance with Chan Centre policies.
