Job summary

Live Nation Canada in Toronto is seeking a Coat Check Attendant/Usher to welcome guests, scan tickets, and guide them to seats or service areas.

You will assist guests with accessibility needs, manage coat check operations, and maintain a clean, organized area while following safety procedures.

Evenings, weekends and holidays are required; hospitality experience is helpful but not mandatory, with a friendly, reliable attitude as essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a hospitality environment is an asset.
  • Strong customer service skills are required.
  • Ability to handle cash and/or POS devices is an asset.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Operate as Coat Check Attendant, Usher, and Ticket Scanner as scheduled.
  • Examine tickets and direct guests in a friendly and engaging manner.
  • Aid patrons with disabilities or other special needs in finding an appropriate seat or section.
  • Greet arriving guests and answer any questions regarding showtimes, events or parking.
  • Lead and direct guests to various areas such as bars, washrooms, merchandise activations, etc.
  • Read and assess situations from afar, intercepting and helping guests if needed.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders on any need‑to‑know information regarding guests.
  • Monitor assigned areas and guest conduct to ensure safety and service is always a top priority.
  • Follow all emergency procedures regarding venue evacuation and know the location of all exits.
  • Show flexibility to perform other job‑related duties as required.
  • Promptly greet and communicate with guests on the coat check process.
  • Hang and organize coats within a logical order and system.
  • Return coats and items using the numerical order system to guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Maintain and organize the coat check area ensuring cleanliness and organization at all times.
  • Accurately complete paperwork referencing lost or stolen articles and follow up with respective parties if needed.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a hospitality environment is an asset, but not a must.
  • Previous experience handling cash and/or PAT devices is an asset, but not required.
  • Desire to make every guest experience as memorable and special as possible.
  • Humble, kind‑spirited and reliable with a passionate and confident attitude.
  • Balance of being respectful and professional while being fun and jovial in a work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service skills.
  • Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Strong work ethic with a high sense of responsibility in an ever‑changing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team to juggle multiple prioritized tasks.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
Compensation

Compensation Range/Rate: $17.85 per hour.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Sits for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; stands and walks throughout the day; occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; lifts up to 15 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
