Job summary

FYidoctors is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to join our Berwick, New Minas, and Wolfville clinics. The role involves greeting patients, coordinating appointments, processing payments, and supporting eye care teams in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates bring strong customer service, solid communication, and reliability. Full-time position (30–40 hours/week) with Monday–Friday clinic hours and opportunities for growth within FYihealth group.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or similar customer-facing roles is desirable.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients at the clinic; manage check-in/out and engage via in-person, phone, or email.
• Perform pre-testing to support comprehensive eye care.
• Coordinate appointments, prepare printouts, and assist with billing.
• Manage eyewear pickups and perform minor repairs or adjustments.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure a positive patient experience.
• Support clinic operations and perform additional duties as required.

Our FYidoctors Berwick, FYidoctors New Minas, and FYidoctors Wolfville clinics are looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience and join us as a Patient Services Specialist to fill an existing vacancy!

In this role, you’ll deliver exceptional service and support, enhancing the lives of our patients in a dynamic, and rewarding environment that values teamwork and collaboration.

This position is a full-time role working 30-40 hours per week. Our clinics are open Monday to Friday.

What You’ll Do

• Greet and welcome patients to the clinic, manage patient check-in and check-out and engage with patients in person, by phone, and via email
• Perform pre-testing to support comprehensive eye care
• Coordinate appointments, prepare prescription printouts, and manage billing and payments
• Manage eyewear pick-ups and perform minor repairs and adjustments on eyewear
• Deliver exceptional customer service ensuring a positive patient experience
• Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as required

What You Bring

• Previous retail experience is considered an asset
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for connecting with patients and delivering exceptional patient experiences
• A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive team player with a growth mindset, able to manage changing priorities effectively
