Job summary

Accurate Hearing is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our Halifax team. You will warmly welcome patients, coordinate appointments, maintain records, process payments, and support day-to-day clinic administration in a full-time, in-person role.

The ideal candidate is organized, discreet, and enjoys helping people. Previous healthcare administration or receptionist experience is preferred, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Bondability is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Diploma in Office Administration or related field asset.
  • Experience in administrative, reception, customer service, or healthcare office roles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar office software.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and create a friendly clinic experience.
  • Answer calls and respond to patient inquiries.
  • Schedule, confirm, and coordinate appointments.
  • Complete reminders, recalls, and follow-up communications.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information.
  • Process payments and provide receipts.
  • Assist with insurance, WCB, and Veterans Affairs claims.
  • Prepare reports and support clinic administration.
  • Maintain office and clinic supplies.
  • Support clinicians with documentation and admin tasks.
  • Provide basic hearing aid cleaning and maintenance support after training.
  • Provide patient-centred service with empathy and professionalism.
  • Occasionally cover other clinic locations as needed.

On behalf of our client, Accurate Hearing, The Warrington Group is recruiting a Patient Care Coordinator to join their team in Halifax.

About Our Client:

Accurate Hearing is an independent hearing care clinic committed to providing warm, personalized support to every patient who walks through the door. Their team takes pride in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment while helping patients receive the care, information, and ongoing support they need.

The Opportunity:

This is a full-time, in-person position for someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in providing thoughtful, attentive service. As the Patient Care Coordinator, you will be an important part of the patient experience, welcoming patients, coordinating appointments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the clinic’s day-to-day administrative needs. This is a full-time, in-person position with regular working hours of 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.

You enjoy being part of a collaborative team and are open to learning and feedback.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and create a friendly, comfortable clinic experience

  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information as required

  • Assist clinicians with documentation and administrative support
  • Provide basic hearing aid cleaning and maintenance support following training
  • Support patients with patience, empathy, and professionalism
  • Provide coverage or assistance at another clinic location when required
Requirements
  • High school diploma required
  • Diploma in Office Administration or a related field is considered an asset
  • Previous administrative, reception, customer service, or healthcare office experience
  • Comfortable using office management, scheduling, or customer relationship management systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Experience processing insurance, WCB, or Veterans Affairs claims is considered an asset
  • Must be bondable
