We’re currently seeking a passionate and experienced Pastry Chef to lead our pastry team and program here at 1 Hotel Toronto. In this role, you’ll oversee the creation of seasonal, elevated desserts and baked goods using thoughtfully sourced ingredients. You’ll be responsible for menu development, production quality, team leadership, and maintaining high standards in execution and presentation across all pastry offerings.

About you...

  • A great passion about pastry, baking, and culinary innovation, with at least 3–5 years of experiencein a pastry leadership role.
  • Experience in a luxury setting is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of both modern and classical pastry techniques.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and train a pastry team while maintaining a positive and productive kitchen culture.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail, especially in high-volume and fine dining environments.
  • Skilled in menu planning, ordering, inventory, and cost control.
  • Flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training in pastry arts is preferred.
  • Must have an updated Food Handlers Certificate.
