Job description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Pastry Chef to lead our pastry team with creativity, precision, and passion. The Head Pastry Chef will oversee all aspects of pastry production, menu development, and dessert presentation, ensuring the highest standards of quality and excellence.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage the pastry team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and professional growth.
  • Develop and execute innovative and seasonal pastry menus that reflect the restaurant's culinary concept and delight our guests.
  • Create and standardize recipes for all pastry items, maintaining consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Source high-quality ingredients for pastry production, establish relationships with vendors, and manage inventory levels.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, conducting regular inspections and audits.
  • Collaborate with the executive chef and culinary team to coordinate pastry offerings with the overall menu and dining experience.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, techniques, and innovations in pastry arts, attending workshops and seminars as needed.
  • Plan and execute pastry offerings for special events and catering functions.

Requirements :

  • A minimum of three years experience as a Head Pastry Chef in a high-volume, upscale restaurant or hospitality establishment.
  • Culinary degree or certification from a recognized culinary institution.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Creative flair and passion for pastry arts, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues across departments.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Certification in food safety and sanitation preferred.
