Job summary

Velocity Truck Centres in Edmonton South is seeking an experienced Parts Technician for our busy location. You will handle customer calls and walk-in customers, sell and supply parts, and use computer systems to process orders, maintain records, and manage stock.

The role requires at least 2 years of parts technician experience; Journeyperson ticket is preferred. A valid Class 5 license and strong communication skills are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a parts technician.
• Journeyperson Parts Technician ticket is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal / communication skills both verbal and written.
• Adequate computer skills.
• Dealership or equivalent experience is an asset.
• Maintain a valid Class 5 driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Take customer telephone calls.
• Provide exceptional customer service to walk in customers.
• Sell, store, and supply parts to customers.
• Computer use to process parts and supplies, maintain records, prepare orders, post receipts, sales contracts, stock adjustments and credit requests.
• Bill out order requests.
• Follow the inventory and merchandising processes while maintaining the retail display.
• Implement workflow procedures and continuous improvement initiatives for the department.

Position: Parts Technician

Position Type: Full time – Permanent

Location: Edmonton South, Alberta

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM

First Truck Centre, doing business as Velocity Truck Centres, is currently accepting resumes for an experience Parts Technician for our Edmonton South branch.
