Job summary

Velocity Truck Centres in Edmonton South is seeking an experienced Parts Technician for a full-time permanent role. You will take customer calls, assist walk-in customers, and provide exemplary service while selling, stocking, and supplying parts.

You will use computer systems to process orders and maintain records, bills, and stock adjustments. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of parts technician experience; Journeyperson Parts Technician ticket is preferred; a valid Class 5 license and

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a parts technician.
• Journeyperson Parts Technician ticket preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Heavy duty parts knowledge is a major asset.
• Adequate computer skills; dealership systems experience is an asset.
• Maintain a valid Class 5 driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Take customer telephone calls and assist walk-in customers.
• Sell, store, and supply parts while maintaining records.
• Use computer systems to process parts and supplies, post receipts, sales contracts, stock adjustments and credits.
• Bill out order requests.
• Follow the inventory and merchandising processes while maintaining the retail display.
• Implement workflow procedures and continuous improvement initiatives for the department.

Position: Parts Technician

Position Type: Full time – Permanent

Location: Edmonton South, Alberta

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM

First Truck Centre, doing business as Velocity Truck Centres, is currently accepting resumes for an experience Parts Technician for our Edmonton South branch.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Take customer telephone calls.
• Provide exceptional customer service to walk in customers.
• Sell, store, and supply parts to customers.
• Computer use to process parts and supplies, maintain records, prepare orders, post receipts, sales contracts, stock adjustments and credit requests.
• Bill out order requests.
• Follow the inventory and merchandising processes while maintaining the retail display.
• Implement workflow procedures and continuous improvement initiatives for the department.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a parts technician.
• Journeyperson Parts Technician ticket is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal / communication skills both verbal and written.

• Heavy duty parts knowledge is a major asset for this role.
• Initiative-taker able to work in a fast-paced, detailed environment.

• Adequate computer skills.
• Dealership or equivalent experience is an asset.

• Maintain a valid Class 5 driver's license.
