Job summary

OpenRoad Volkswagen Burnaby is seeking a Parts Driver for a full-time role in the Parts Department. You will deliver parts to customers and vendors, advise on parts, and coordinate with the Parts Manager to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires strong customer service, knowledge of automotive parts, and a valid British Columbia driver’s license with a clean record. A proactive, team-oriented attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong customer relations skills and a friendly, positive attitude.
• Thorough understanding of the Lower Mainland and ability to read maps.
• Working knowledge of automotive parts and accessories.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of receiving, storing, and issuing parts and supplies.
• Ability to communicate clearly with others and understand information.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and vendors in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Deliver parts and equipment to customers and vendors on schedule.
• Offer advice on parts and accessories during delivery.
• Coordinate with Parts Manager before picking up parts from customers/vendors.
• Document and report customer complaints to Parts Manager for assistance.
• Maintain professional appearance of the Parts Department and truck.
• Report any maintenance issues on the parts truck immediately.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by management.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greetpartscustomersand vendorsin a friendly and courteous manner.
• Deliver parts and equipment to customers and vendorsin a timely mannerconsistent with department schedule.
• Offerappropriate adviceon parts and accessories to customerinquiries during delivery.
• Coordinate with Parts Manager and Parts Counter Associate prior to pickingup parts and equipment fromcustomers and vendors.
• Document and report any customer complaints that cannot be satisfied at the Parts Driverlevel, andrefer each situation back to the Parts Manager forassistance.
• Helpmaintainthe professional appearance of the Parts Department by basic upkeep of the parts truck ensuring cleanliness and tidiness, along with helpingkeep the department in a presentable manner at all times.
• Report any maintenancerequiredon the parts truckimmediately.
• Lifting of heavy parts and/or cartons when assigned.
• Must follow company safety policies and practices, andimmediately,reportany and allaccidents to a Manager/Supervisor.
• This position will be expected to perform other duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Current knowledge of local sources of supply.
• Excellent organizational and time management skillstoeffectively work against deadlines.
• Knowledge of techniques for receiving, storing, and issuing parts and supplies.
• Ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information, in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
• Ability tooperateassigned equipment.
• Ability to make sounddecisions in a mannerconsistent with the essential job functions.
• A valid British Columbia driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years driving experience.
