Job summary

OpenRoad Volkswagen Burnaby is seeking a Parts Driver to join our Parts department. In this full-time role, you will deliver parts and equipment to customers and vendors, advise on parts and accessories, and coordinate with the Parts Manager.

You should have a valid BC driver's license and at least 2 years of driving experience, plus strong customer service skills and knowledge of automotive parts. Join our team and grow with OpenRoad.

  • Current knowledge of local sources of supply.

  • Knowledge of receiving, storing, and issuing parts and supplies.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and understand information.
  • Ability to operate assigned equipment.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in line with job functions.
  • A valid BC driver’s license with a clean record; minimum 2 years driving experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and vendors in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Deliver parts and equipment to customers and vendors in a timely manner, per department schedule.
  • Offer advice on parts and accessories to customer inquiries during delivery.
  • Coordinate with Parts Manager and Parts Counter Associate before picking up parts and equipment.
  • Document and report customer complaints that cannot be satisfied at the Parts Driver level and refer to the Parts Manager for assistance.
  • Help maintain the professional appearance of the Parts Department and parts truck, keeping them clean and presentable.
  • Report any maintenance required on the parts truck immediately.
  • Assist with lifting heavy parts and cartons as assigned.
  • Follow company safety policies and report any accidents to a Manager/Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management; OpenRoad reserves right to modify the job description.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Greetpartscustomersand vendorsin a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Deliver parts and equipment to customers and vendorsin a timely mannerconsistent with department schedule.
  • Offerappropriate adviceon parts and accessories to customerinquiries during delivery.
  • Coordinate with Parts Manager and Parts Counter Associate prior to pickingup parts and equipment fromcustomers and vendors.
  • Document and report any customer complaints that cannot be satisfied at the Parts Driverlevel, andrefer each situation back to the Parts Manager forassistance.
  • Helpmaintainthe professional appearance of the Parts Department by basic upkeep of the parts truck ensuring cleanliness and tidiness, along with helpingkeep the department in a presentable manner at all times.
  • Report any maintenancerequiredon the parts truckimmediately.
  • Lifting of heavy parts and/or cartons when assigned.
  • Must follow company safety policies and practices, andimmediately,reportany and allaccidents to a Manager/Supervisor.
  • This position will be expected to perform other duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
