Job summary

Responsibilities

• Clean and refurbish new and used automobiles.

• Vacuum interiors and clean upholstery, rugs and surfaces.
• Apply revitalizers and preservatives to vinyl or leather surfaces.
• Clean engine and engine compartment with steam cleaning equipment.
• Paint engine components and chipped body surfaces as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As aDetailer, your primary responsibility is to clean and refurbish new and used automobiles. You will be able to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision. Some job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Apply wax to auto body, and wipe or buff surfaces to protect surfaces and preserve shine, using cloth or buffing machine.
• Vacuum interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris. Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
• Apply revitalizers and preservatives to vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabrics with spot and stain resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components.
• Clean engine and engine compartment with steam cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents to remove grease and grime. Apply special purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which do not respond to normal cleaning procedures, utilizing experience and following recommendations of product manufacturer
• Paint engine components and related parts, using spray gun or aerosol can and masking material. Apply paint to chipped body surfaces of vehicle.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience.
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License isrequired.
• Valid Class 1 or 3 Drivers License considered an asset.
