Job summary

RONA in Ontario is hiring for a Lumberyard team member to provide expert advice to customers and help keep the yard organized and safe.

You will load products, check invoices, and support opening/closing tasks while ensuring a clean, efficient work environment and strong teamwork with colleagues and the community.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Knowledge of building materials is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for their lumber and building material needs
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided
• Assist with the daily upkeep of the department including off loading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, and maintaining pallets/stock
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers
• Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly
