Job summary

Securiguard Services Ltd. is seeking Gatehouse Security Guards to work at a GTA distribution centre in Ontario. You will screen inbound and outbound trucks, verify documents, and enforce safety and security procedures to protect people and property.

The role requires a valid Ontario Security Guard Licence and First Aid CPR, with the ability to work days, afternoons, nights, weekends and holidays. Training and benefits are included to support professional growth.

Qualifications

Gatehouse Security Guards

We are seeking professional and detail-oriented Gatehouse Security Guards to work at one of our distribution centres in GTA. This position will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our facility by effectively screening inbound and outbound trucks at the gatehouse. If you are a highly responsible individual with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the distribution centre.
• Process inbound and outbound trucks in accordance with site procedures.
• Verify driver identification, shipping documents, and delivery paperwork.
• Conduct inspections of trucks, trailers, and other areas as required by site policies.
• Check trailer seal numbers and ensure documentation matches site records.
• Record vehicle, trailer, and visitor information accurately.
• Perform gatehouse inspections and security checks.
• Maintain detailed logs and complete incident and occurrence reports.
• Communicate effectively with site personnel, drivers, and management.
• Respond to security incidents and emergencies as required.
• Perform routine patrols of the property when necessary.
• Ensure all site security, safety, and operational procedures are followed.

Requirements

• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence and First Aid CPR
• Previous gatehouse, distribution centre, warehouse, or security experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Strong computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent truck traffic.
• Ability to conduct truck and trailer inspections and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation is considered an asset.
• Ability to work days, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay Range: $18.00
