Job summary

Securiguard Services Ltd. is seeking experienced security guards for a commercial site in the Ottawa region. You will enforce regulations, monitor CCTV, control access, report hazards, and respond to incidents to ensure safety.

The role requires an Ontario Security License, First Aid/CPR Level C with AED, and the ability to stand/walk up to 12 hours. A diploma in security or related field and customer service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ontario Security License required.
• Standard First Aid & Level C CPR with AED.
• 1 year of security experience preferred.
• Diploma/Degree in security or law enforcement preferred.
• Excellent communication & report writing skills.
• Customer service experience is an asset.
• Empathy and listening mindset.
• Capable of standing/walking up to 12 hours.
• Ability to problem solve and manage crowds; good judgment.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle is an asset.

Job description

Securiguard Services is looking for experienced security guards for our commercial site in the Ottawa region.

As a security professional, you'll contribute to the safety to our stakeholders by enforcing provincial and municipal regulations, enforcing policies and procedures, monitoring CCTV systems and operating security control room equipment, controlling access to the site, reporting any hazards or security breaches, and responding to incidents.

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Standard First Aid & Level C CPR with AED
• 1 year of security experience, preferred
• Diploma/Degree in the field of security or law enforcement preferred ie Justice Studies, Police Foundations, etc
• Excellent communication & report writing skills
• Customer service experience is an asset
• Approaches a situation with a listening mindset and empathy
• Capable of standing and walking for a duration of up to 12 hours
• Ability to problem solve, effective with crowd management and use discretion and good judgment
• A valid drivers license & having a personal vehicle is an asset

Pay rate: $20.55/hr
