Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager in a Canada store to lead a high-performing team and deliver outstanding customer experiences.

You will drive selling behaviors, coach staff, and ensure adherence to SOPs while managing daily operations in a fast-paced retail environment. This role emphasizes strong leadership, customer focus, and responsibility for store KPIs, with hours including nights and weekends as part of a busy schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience coaching teams to drive sales and customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage adherence to SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards, and drive store results.
• Coach customer experience and selling behaviors to improve conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership.
• Oversee POS, Self-Checkout, and omni-channel service delivery.
• Drive enrollment in Loyalty Rewards Program and promote protection plans.
• Lead Knit & Sew Shop and Cut Bar experiences as applicable.
• Support BOPIS and Same Day Delivery operations.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Maintain Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
