Paladin Security seeks a Part Time Security Guard for a high profile Stratford site. You will perform interior and exterior patrols, monitor CCTV, and control access while responding to incidents and emergencies. A professional presence and reporting are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols to ensure site safety and policy compliance.
• Control access by monitoring entry/exit of employees, visitors, and contractors; unlock and secure buildings.
• Maintain a professional security presence to deter theft and vandalism.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and security systems; respond to incidents and emergencies.
• Prepare incident and activity reports using guard tour systems.
• Assist staff and visitors, de-escalate conflicts, and support individuals in distress.
• Liaise with emergency services during incidents and assist with evacuations.
• Manage sign-out logs for keys and equipment; report hazards.
• Provide first aid or medical responses when required and document actions.
• Work independently or with others; be flexible for shift work and travel between sites.

This high profile facility is a key manufacturing site requiring reliable security coverage. Security personnel are responsible for controlling access, monitoring CCTV systems, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents.

$21.59/hr.

Averaging Agreement

Overtime is Averaging Agreement after 88 hours

Job Description

• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols to ensure site safety, security, and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Control access by monitoring entry and exit of employees, visitors, and contractors; unlock and secure buildings as scheduled.
• Maintain a professional, visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, and prohibited activities.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and security systems; investigate and respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and policy breaches.
• Prepare accurate incident, activity, and maintenance reports using electronic guard tour systems.
• Provide courteous assistance to staff and visitors, de-escalate conflicts, and support individuals in distress.
• Liaise with police, fire, and medical personnel during emergencies and assist with evacuations or crowd control as needed.
• Manage key and equipment sign-out logs, handle lost and found items, and report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Provide first aid or medical response when required and ensure all responses are documented.
• Work independently or collaboratively, maintaining communication and professionalism at all times.
• Be flexible for shift work, regional deployment, and travel between sites (own transportation required).

Requirements

• Valid First aid and CPR level C
• Ability to sit/stand and walk throughout the building
• Ability to walk/climb stairs, push min. 25lbs
• Able to obtain Canadian Controlled Goods Program Clearance
• 3 Professional and 3 Personal References
• Lives in Canada from last 5 years
• Must be on Permanent Resident or Citizenship Status
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
• Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability.
