Job summary

Urban Barn in Kelowna, BC is seeking a Part-time Sales Associate to help customers create spaces they love. You will greet guests, guide them to furniture and decor, and provide product knowledge to inspire thoughtful purchases.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of retail sales experience.
• Comfort with POS systems and iPads.

• Ability to lift and move loads up to 50 lbs (23 kg).

Accompany and guide customers to find inspiring furniture and home décor during their visit to our store. As a Sales Associate, you will represent Urban Barn by offering friendly service and product knowledge to help our customers create a space they love to call home. In collaborating with the store team and managers, you will provide our customers with the best shopping experience possible.

Our stores are open 7 days a week, so we’re looking for candidates who can work a variety of shifts (i.e. weekdays, weeknights and weekends).

What You Will Do:

• Guide customers in their décor choices, suggesting the best products for their needs
• Provide a warm greeting to every customer
• Establish connections with customers to build customer loyaltyCarry out transactions (purchases, exchanges, and returns)
• Maintain the visual standards and cleanliness of the store

What you Bring:

• At least 2 years of Retail Sales experience
• Ease of using technology such as a Point-of-Sale system and iPad
• Flexible schedule to work a minimum of 3 days (12-20 hours) per week –including at least 1 weekend and 1 evenings shift
• The ability to lift and move loads up to 50 lbs / 23 kg
