Job summary

Extendicare is seeking a part-time nurse to provide high-quality care to residents in our long-term care home in Ontario. The role requires adherence to nursing standards, physicians’ orders and policies, with vigilant monitoring of vital signs and condition changes.

You will assess residents, develop and review care plans, and coordinate with physicians. Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills are essential, along with experience with cognitively impaired individuals.

Qualifications

• Current certificate of competence from the Approved Institutions for the province.
• Registration or eligibility for registration with the Approved Institutions for the province.

Responsibilities

• Provide care according to nursing standards, physicians' orders and policies; observe and record vital signs and conditions.
• Assess residents, develop and review care plans; monitor health and refer to doctors as needed.
