Job summary

Save-On-Foods is hiring a part-time Pharmacy Assistant at our Hunterhorn location in Calgary, AB. You will handle prescription processing, data entry, stock inventory, and billing communication with the pharmacist, all within a supportive team environment.

The ideal candidate has completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or has 2 years of dispensary experience, with strong customer service skills and a can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive written prescriptions and refill requests, input patient data into the computer.
• Input all patient and prescription information accurately.
• Order, receive, and return stock; perform expiry date checks and inventory corrections.
• Process balance owing and adjust inventories per procedures.
• Adhere to merchandising programs, procedures, and company policies.
• Communicate allergy interactions and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.
