Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy Banff is seeking a Part-Time Pharmacy Assistant to support pharmacists and technicians, greet customers, and assist with prescriptions under supervision. You will help with labeling, packaging, inventory and clerical tasks in a busy community pharmacy.

Flexibility is required to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Prior pharmacy exposure is an asset, with on-the-job training provided where needed to ensure accurate patient care.

Qualifications

Completion of a pharmacy assistant program preferred.
On-the-job training available for those with pharmacy experience.
Strong communication, teamwork and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing patient care.
Greet customers and answer phone calls professionally.
Enter, label and package prescriptions under supervision.
Count, measure and package medications per protocols.
Receive, stock and audit inventory; rotate stock as needed.
Maintain clean, organized pharmacy area and handle waste safely.
Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning and transfers.
Assist with daily operations and other duties as assigned.
