Job summary

Extendicare in Brantford, ON is seeking a Personal Support Worker to provide compassionate personal care and support with activities of daily living under the supervision of a care team.

You will assist residents with grooming, mobility, meals, and daily routines, observe changes in condition, report them promptly, and help maintain a safe, clean environment while upholding Extendicare's standards and values.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker program (or provincial equivalent with 600 hours practicum in Ontario/Alberta).
• Experience with seniors in community health settings.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to follow plans of care and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the plan of care as determined by the supervisor.
• Assist residents with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition.
• Escalate medical emergencies when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and a safe, clean environment.
