Job summary

Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care is seeking a part-time Personal Support Worker to assist residents with daily living and personal care on mixed shifts. The role emphasizes compassionate, resident-centered care in a culturally inclusive setting and requires CPR and PSW credentials in Ontario.

The PSW will document care, support restorative activities, and collaborate with the health care team while upholding residents' rights and privacy in a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario.
• Current CPR Certificate.
• Registration with HSCPOA preferred.
• Experience in long-term care is an asset.
• Ability to speak Chinese an asset.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care and assists with daily activities and hygiene.
• Documents accurately on flow sheets and daily records.
• Maintains resident dignity and privacy and respects rights.
• Collaborates with care team to implement care plans.
• Supports rehabilitation and restorative care as needed.
• Ensures infection prevention and safety practices.
