Job summary

Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care in Markham, Ontario, is hiring a part-time Personal Support Worker to assist residents with daily activities and personal care. The role supports residents' physical, social and emotional needs in a resident-centred approach, with evening shifts and weekend work.

Requires Ontario PSW certification and CPR; registration with HSCPOA is preferred. Experience in long-term care is an asset; Chinese language ability is also an asset.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario
• Current CPR Certificate
• Registration with Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) preferred
• Experience in long-term care is an asset
• Ability to speak Chinese is an asset

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to assist residents with daily activities
• Support residents' physical, social and emotional needs
• Maintain resident-centred care in accordance with policy
• Work evening shifts, including weekends as required
